| Kit and Boodle have played together now for about 12 years, and in that time have played for a wide variety of events, including the Sidmouth International Folk Festival. The range of instruments we play has changed somewhat over the years and now comprises: Button accordion, concertina, fiddle, mandolin, whistle, hammered dulcimer, guitar and Leicestershire small pipes. Although only a three piece band, a good depth of sound is achieved with the specially designed amplification system and since each member plays a variety of instruments, tunes of varying texture can be achieved. John’s accordion, as well as providing a rich full tone acoustically, also has an electronic system which adds very effective bass and chordal sounds, ideal for dance music. | |||
