Deb's intention at the start of the year was to fulfil her dream of racing. Her thoughts were, she would probably be one of the back runners, fighting hard not to come last. But, when she realised she was actually going to do quite well, she got caught up in the need to keep up with bikes she had just passed through the bends that would then pass her easily down the straights. She realised she was going to need to spend quite a bit of money and doing that on a 15 year old NC30 would end up a waste of time, money and effort.
After deciding she needed to find a newer bike, she bought the NC35 a week later and raced it standard the next weekend. It was only putting out 58bhp once the standard can had been replaced with a Micron. Rik Leddy of RLR motorsport took it away that weekend for tuning and it was collected 2 weeks later with an extra 15 bhp. Since then she has been upgrading bits and bobs as money dictates.
