MISSIONS WALKTHROUGH ![]() ALLIED MISSIONS |
Harbor Reclamation The Soviets occupy the northern part of the map. They have established three small bases that are spread out in the shape of a triangle. The two lower bases are very lightly guarded while the upper base is surrounded by tesla coils. When you first start the mission you will need to build riflemen very quickly in order to try to kill the spy that will approach your base from the east. You will receive 5 riflemen as reinforcements from the south, use them also. If you do not kill the spy, don't worry, the only bad thing that will happen is that the Soviets will bother you more intensely. Build two ore refineries, one war factory, a barracks, a repair bay, a radar dome and tech center and lots of pillboxes for protection all around your base because you will need them. Especially guard the west side of your base because that is where the paratroopers will land. Build about 5 - 7 anti-aircraft guns and place them north of your base to put down on the Soviet air attacks. To successfully complete this mission you will need about 10 - 15 medium tanks and 2 - 3 demolition trucks. The first thing to do is to go after their ore trucks with about 6 or more of your tanks. This will prevent them from building more tanks, taking your ore or repairing/rebuilding anything. When you have about 6 tanks or more, send them to the lower eastern base to expose it. Send one demolition truck into the middle of the base and detonate it. Use your 6 or so tanks to completely wipe out the rest of the base. Build a naval yard and about 4 - 5 cruisers. You will have to deal with a few subs to start out with that are already in the area. Once you have control of the water, use the cruisers to put a big hole in the south wall of the lower western base. Build another demolition truck and drive it through the hole up next to the 3 power plants in about the middle of the base and detonate it. Once again, use your tanks to clean out that base. For the heavily guarded north base you can do one of two things: use about 10 tanks and break through the walls and start destroying power plants to take the teslas off line, or use choppers to take out some of the teslas. Once you have cleaned up the map of all Soviet scum, your mission will be completed.
In The Nick Of Time Move your units due north, as far they will go, through the small pass. Some infantry reinforcements will be air-dropped. Move your armor to the southwest, killing the enemy tanks and infantry. Keep moving west, taking out the pesky V2 on the ridge. Move all units around the ridge and to the north, then go west and take out the tesla coil. By that time, a naval transport should be arriving in the southwest, carrying some armor and a demolition truck. Immediately move the new armor units (except the truck) north to engage the mammoth tank, otherwise it will destroy a nearby helicopter landing with more reinforcements. Bring all of your armor together, then head northeast and take out some more mammoths. Regroup all units just below the bridge, scattering your rocket guys for air defence. Beware of a group of Soviet paratroopers that will come around from your rear, along with some supply trucks filled with cash. When you cross the bridge, you will get two chrono tanks. At the same time, in the nearby village, you will find a spy, mechanic, medic, and some engineers. Use the medic and mechanic to keep your forces strong. The soviets will attack you Hinds and some infantry. As you move your armor to the east, you will get two more tanks. Immediately send these south to destroy the tesla coil while you destroy the other enemy units. Move north and you will get two more chrono tanks. Protect them at all costs! At this point in the mission, the best thing to do is to chrono-shift those tanks to the north side of the ridge near the river. Then roll them right into the Soviet base, taking out the weapons factory, barracks, and power plants (watch the chronosphere). While this is happening, bring you regular armor around and take out every unit in your path, especially dogs and pill boxes. When you've pretty much mopped everything up, send your chrono tanks to the tech center to get the scientists. Run the scientists all the way back to the mission starting point, where the flare is. Use your remaining units to slow down the mammoth tanks which will come out of the north. When the scientists reach the flare, mission is accomplished.
Caught In The Act Put Tanya in the transport and send her to the island immediately north. When she arrives, so will reinforcements and enemies. Watch for your transport chopper coming in near the barrels. Quickly select the chopper before it lands and send it to the south island. If it gets caught near the barrels, it will be destroyed. Use tanya to mop up Soviet paratroopers. Your newly arrived rocket guys should take out the planes flying overhead. Pick up the crate to re heal your units. Put everybody in the transport and go east to the next island. Again, you will need to save a second helicopter before it gets trashed. Clean up the enemy troops with Tanya. You should now have about fifteen soldiers, plus three transports - two air, one naval. Move your ships north, between the two islands you just secured. When you get to the bay, there will be some subs waiting to be killed. Oblige them and be prepared for naval reinforcements. A naval transport will arrive and automatically head to the northwest island. When it gets there, it will drop some armor. Squash any enemy troops that come to greet you, then pick up the armor units in your original transport. You are not yet ready to take the northwest island. By this time, you should have some cruisers and some gunboats in the northwest bay. Send them east to scout and pick off any remaining subs. There are two more islands - northeast and southwest. You can use your ships to pick off infantry that wanders too close too the water. Send your units to the south shore of the northeast island. Take out helicopters with rockets, infantry and dogs with Tanya. Move your tanks around to the west and take out the flame towers. Use Tanya to mop up leftover troops, then destroy the research center. When you are done, send units to the south shore of the southeast island, secure it, and destroy the research center. When you get to that base, you will get some more units, including a medic and a spy. Gather everybody together and prepare for the final assault on the northwest island. Use the center island as a staging area if necessary. Land your units on the south shore of the northwest island. Watch out for the teslas and flamers. Send your spy to recon the base; watch out for any dogs. Use your destroyers to take out the teslas and flamers. Pick off infantry with Tanya, then send your armor and infantry in to take care of the tanks. Send Tanya to blow up the last Research Center; mission accomplished.
Production Disruption This is a fast and easy mission. Gather your troops in defense formation, slightly north of where they landed. Keep the medic back a little. Enemy infantry will come from the north and east. You should be able to kill them without a single casualty. Send the troops east to the power plants, killing enemy infantry as you go. When the power plants are destroyed, you will get a transport with some demo trucks and engineers. Send the demo trucks north to kill the flamer towers. Send units east to the radar dome, kill soldiers and capture the dome. You will get some chrono tanks, north of the destroyed bridge. Send the chrono tanks through the south wall, bypassing the flamers. Squash the troops and shoot the tanks. Go north and take out the sub pen; mission accomplished.
Negotiations This is a somewhat difficult mission, the first part of which is timed. Some people may want to slow the game speed to medium to increase decision-making time. You will need to move FAST. Move Tanya north and take out the infantry and bazooka guy. Forget about the flame turrets for now. Move east (watch the bazooka on the ridge). Shoot the first barrel and keep moving southeast. Go north, taking out the western SAM site. Keep going north, shooting the barrels and the infintry with reach. Move south, taking out the east SAM site. Air units will move in to take out the flame tower; shoot the infantry with Tanya. Go east past the dead flamer. Head north and take out the infantry that are shooting at the civilian building. A civilian will emerge and lead you north through the trees. A group of Soviet soldiers and dogs will be moving south to intercept you; kill the bastards. Head north, then west until you reach the bridge. Leave the barrels alone for now - you'll need them later. Cross the bridge and head west, taking out enemy soldiers and dogs. When you get to the area where the hostages are being kept, blow up the barrels and soldiers. The hostages will then come out and follow Tanya. (NOTE: Sometimes the hostages would not come out to follow Tanya. I could not figure out why this happened, eventhough I replayed a couple of times.) With the hostages following, head back the way you came. A Soviet transport may land above the bridge; now's the time to use the barrels! Head north accross the bridge, wait for the hostages to cross, then use Tanya to blow up the bridge behind you. Head back down toward the church in the southeast. You may have to face a few shock troopers and a tank. Take out the troops and then lead the civilians to the church. You will not be able to kill the tank unless you're really good, so instead move around in circles to trick and outrun the tank. Bring Tanya past the church so that the hostages follow and go inside. The tank will be right on your ass, so Tanya will have to outrun it to get back to the starting point. Head west until you reach Tanya's original air-drop point. Reinforcements arrive. Take out the tank, sparing Tanya if possible (if not, don't worry about). I would not advise you go through the first entrance where the flame towers are. Instead, move all your units east to the valley where the SAM sites were. When you head north to the fence, you will get some chrono tanks. Align your tanks in front with the artillary right behind, then stick the mechanic in the middle where he can repair all units. You can make little runs draw out the enemy tanks, smashing them one by one. By taking out the lone flame tower closest to you, along with the other buildings, you will provoke the computer to send the cavalry. When this happens, chrono-shift the tanks into the far west side of his base. Take out the power plants, tesla, and flamers. Send in the rest of your forces to clean up the mess. If everything is gone and the mission hasn't ended, check the far northeast corner of the map for leftover troops.
Monster Tank Madness This mission is simple compared to the last one. Move your armor north accross the bridge, taking out enemy infantry. Move north further and take out the flame towers. Send your thief into the silo to steal the credits. Capture the power plant and naval yard. Build a transport and bring your armor north accross the river. Take out the V2, then find your base and repair it. Even if you lose the war factory, you can still finish the mission. Bring the rest of your units accross the river. Repair your armor and start building men. Send two spys east accross bridge (with riflemen to kill the hounds). Find the radar dome and send in one spy. The renegade tanks will now turn on the Soviet base and destroy almost everything. I played this mission only once and didn't know what to expect, so I built a lot of infantry. If you want, you can send tanks and infantry to finish the Soviet base, but it is not necessary. Just make sure there are no enemy units left wandering around. Send the other spy south and west to find the doctor. Bring the doctor back to your base. A chopper will land; send the doctor into the chopper and watch it fly away. Mission accomplished.
Time Flies Your chrono tanks will appear in the middle of the action. Use them to take out the armor. Don't worry too much if the transport escapes with a tank. Protect the bridge by shooting the barrels, then immediately cross and kill the supply truck before the transport comes around. You will pick some extra cash when you do. Chrono-shift to the island next to you. Take out the flamers, SAMS, and radar domes. You should get a recharge crate from one of the domes. Tanya will be dropped on the next (main) island. You can chrono-shift over to assist her. Take out the infantry and keep moving until you get to the power plants. When you've killed the powerplants, a transport will arrive with an MCV. Take out the tesla south of you with a chrono tank, but do it soon before the enemy build up its power again. Build your base quickly, protecting it with pill boxes, turrets, and some rocket guys for air defense. Build a couple extra ore trucks and lots of tanks. Periodic transports will arrive with demolition trucks. They are not critical to the mission, but I'm sure you can find a creative use for them. There are two small Soviet bases, northeast and southeast, and each contains one missle silo to be squashed. They are defended with teslas and flamers. The enemy will build LOTS of ore trucks; destroy them with your tanks as quickly as possible. Once this is done, the bases will be easy pickings for your tanks.
Absolute M.A.D.ness Repair your base and build up your defenses with AA guns and camo pill boxes. There will be lots of enemy air strikes and paratroopers throughout the mission. Your chronosphere is very fragile, so be careful. Build extra ore trucks and a good tank force. When the MAD tank strikes, quickly repair everything. Don't forget to keep repairing your tanks, as they will only withstand a single shock wave. Destroy every enemy ore truck you can find. Build a naval yard and a couple of cruisers. Go south and continually pound the ememy power plants, teslas, etc. As you discover the enemy tech centers, send in the spys. APC's should come in handy for scouting and squashing dogs. Send your tank force to the east, taking out the teslas and power plants, then work your way south. When you have infiltrated all three tech centers, you will see the control center in the southeast corner. A chrono-shifted cruiser is the weapon of choice here. After that, it's just a matter of mopping up the remaining Soviet forces. The mammoth tanks should stay put until you attack them, so they make an excellent grand finale.
PAWN This mission begins with a base containing several fake structures, which you must protect until reinforcements arrive. It is relatively easy to hold down the fort, just by keeping most units in their original locations, repairing damage, and mining the heck out of the choke points. You may also need to build some rocket guys to assist with air defense, but be careful with your money. When reinforcements finally arrive from the east, sell the fake C-Yard and deploy the real one. Build up your base defenses, cashing in the fake structures. The money-filled supply truck in the village northeast of your base will also come in handy. Build at least four ore trucks and LOTS of tanks. Send armor and rocket units into the ore fields to protect your trucks; expect constant air strikes. Destroying bridges will help your defense. Concentrate your forces in the north, cutting off the Soviet forces so they can't get past you to attack your ore trucks. You will receive a couple of destroyers in the northeast, which are useful for scouting and picking off enemy units. You will also get a load of armor units in the northwest, which should be used to destroy the enemy airfields. Keep building and repairing your tank force to absorb the endless enemy assaults. When you are comfortable that you have a large enough tank force, head north to attack the base. Throughout the game, concentrate your fire first on anything with "tesla" in its name. Once you have killed all the critical base structures, the computer will sell its buildings and send all remaining units south toward your base. Squash the infantry with you tanks and mop up any other units. Mission accomplished. |

MISSIONS
WALKTHROUGH ![]() SOVIET MISSIONS |
Testing Grounds When you arrive, your MCV will automatically deploy. Build your base, building tanks and flame turrets for defense. Enemy strikes will come from all angles, but mostly from due north. Watch your west end for chrono tanks! Build a sub pen and several subs. Send them north and take out the cruisers before they take out you. When all ships and the naval yard are gone, use your subs to scout and to keep exposed any areas covered by gap generators. To protect yourself from scattered armor and infantry attacks, cover each choke point with a couple of heavy tanks and tesla tanks behind them. The enemy base to the north is defended mostly by AA guns and turrets. The easiest way to weaken it is to send about half a dozen V2's and level everything with reach. Afterwards, roll in the heavy and tesla tanks and kill everything else. You should not even need to use aircraft to complete this mission.
Shock Therapy Your shock troopers will be air-dropped in the middle of the map, surrounded by hills. Send all units NNE until you reach the river. Cross the bridge, taking out the nearby barrel. This will trigger a couple of enemy units to attack from south. Divide your troopers into two groups. Send one group due north and keep the other near the bridge. Move the southern group to the east, exposing the village. You will receive reinforcements as the villagers try to escape to the west. If your troopers are in the right place, they should take out all of the civilians as they run past. Destroy the village and secure the island. Move your V2 and some shock troopers to the west end of the island, near the river crossing. CAREFULLY use your V2 to scout west, one square at a time. Use it to take out the pill boxes, but be prepared to retreat behind the shock troopers when enemy infantry approaches. (Save your V2 at all costs; if you need to repair it, there is a lone building southeast of the island that contains a recharge crate.) After you have mopped up the enemy troops, you will find a small base in the northwest. When I played the mission, I destroyed the whole base, but I suppose you could take over the buildings with your engineers. You will receive some more shock troopers via helicoptor. Move all units south, keeping the shock troopers in front and your V2 behind. Keep your demo truck WAY behind. Find the base to south and commence destruction. Watch out for enemy units coming from the east. You will receive another chopper full of shock troopers. Move east, following the river. You will find another lone building that contains a recharge crate. When you get to the river crossing, regroup your units, with troopers covering the choke point. Use you V2 to take out the artillary the pill boxes. Move in with your shock troopers, attacking the base to the southeast. You receive reinforcements from the sea, including some tesla tanks. You should be able to make quick work of the base, completing the mission.
Let's Make a Steal Volkov will arrive in the NW with his dog. Send them south, then east, taking out the troops and control panel. Go east, then north, through the two generator rooms. Take out all troops and the control panel on the north wall. The power will go out, recovering with black the areas you have scouted. Head east again, past the intersection, and then south to the third generator room. Hit the control panel, then head south and east to the tech center. After you infiltrate the tech center and steal the plans, you will receive a recharge. Retrace your steps back to the intersection. Go south, taking out the troops and control panel. By now, the power should be back up. Head west to the large room with tanks in it. Ignore the tanks, but take out any infantry. Go south to the "T" shaped intersection, continue south, then head east and take out the control panel. If you continue south from there, you will find a recharge crate. Use it if you need it, otherwise remember where it is for future recharge. Head back past the control panel, west until you reach a room with barrels and a war factory. This where you will steal the vehicle, but not quite yet. On the west side of the room is another control panel, which needs to be taken out. Then, go back east to the "T" intersection and head east. When you get to the reactor room, you will need to kill the technicians and hit the control panel to the south. This will trigger the meltdown timer. Just north of the reactor room is your escape route, designated by the yellow line. Rememeber where it is. Head back to the war factory, send in Volkov, and steal the vehicle. Head north to the tank room, then west where your men are captive. If you're careful you can rescue the men before they get blown up, but either way you will need to hit that last control panel. Now it's time to get out of Dodge. Head east toward your escape route, stopping for nothing. There should be enemy units coming after you. Do not engage them, but don't hesitate to run over infantry that are in the way. Make a bee line down the yellow line until you reach the edge of the map. Mission accomplished.
Test Drive Put Volkov into the phase transport and head southeast, sneaking past the enemy units until you find the small base. Carefully manuever the transport around the infantry to the radar dome. If you get too close to a soldier, it will detect you and start firing. Bring Volkov out of the transport, kill any troops within range, then destroy the radar dome with an explosive charge. Quickly put Volkov back in the transport before other units come after him. Sneak the transport back out of the base. If you are detected, do not engage the enemy units. Instead, outrun them until you can cloak again. Find the base in the northeast and use the same strategy to take out the tech center. When you are done, move the transport into the corner where it will not be detected and leave it there. You will get some subs in the southeast. Use them to take out the enemy ships. Soon after, you will get some missle subs. The enemy will send more ships with a cruiser. It you can't take out every ship, make SURE you at least take out the cruiser. Naval transports will arrive with mammoth, regular, and tesla tanks. Use these to take out any remaining ships and the chrono tanks. In the village to the north, you will get some men. Move your units up to protect them, picking off any enemy units along the way. Meanwhile, use your missle subs to take out the buildings in the southeast. Continue to move your units north toward the base, taking out the pill boxes and infantry. Watch out for chrono tanks. When you get to the base, first destroy the barracks, then the AA guns. When the AA guns are gone, paratrooper reinforcements will drop in. Send your units to finish off the southeast base. Again, paratroopers will arrive when the AA guns are dead. Move all of your units north to the river crossing. On the other side, there are pill boxes and turrets that can be taken out from a safe distance with the tesla tanks. While this is happening, some chrono tanks will appear behind you. Tank them out with your other units. After this, you should be able to take the base with little resistance. If you did not do so well against the defense structures and/or the chrono tanks, you should still have Volkov and the transport. Volkov can easily mop up any remaining infantry and take out the buildings on his own.
Don't Drink The Water You will start out with some troops, engineers, and a supply truck. Leave everything where it is, except for the infantry. Send the troops east, taking out enemy infantry. In the southeast corner, a group of enemy infantry is hiding behind a rock. Take them out, then move your engineers and supply truck into their hiding place. Use your infantry to scout north. Watch out for the pill box. When you hear the sound of paratroopers, quickly bring your men down to protect the engineers and truck. Once this is done, send your infantry north along the edge of the map. When you get to the river, a ranger will attack you. It is essential that your kill it, or your troops cannot get through. Bring the rest of your units north to the river. Send the supply truck to the first waterfall, just west of the little things that look like igloos. The river will be poisoned, and the enemy troops will soon perish. You can now bring your units into the base. Capture the chronosphere with two or three engineers (don't try damaging it for a single engineer, because the chronosphere is highly volatile). When you MCV arrives, you will simply need to wait for the chronosphere to charge. You may use your remaining engineers to capture the power plants while you wait. In the village to the northeast, there is a money crate out in the open and a recharge crate inside the church. You may want to send some paratroopers later to get these. Chrono-shift your MCV to the island in the northwest. After deploying it, immediately build a barracks, then a flame tower to the northeast to defend your construction yard. Also build some grenadiers to defend against tanks. After you have a defensive force, you can continue building your ore refinery, war factory, etc. Build some tanks to defend against armored attacks, and then a sub pen. Build at least six subs and send them north to take out the enemy ships and naval yard. Build one or two extra ore trucks as well. You can sell the chronosphere and anything else on the southeast island; it is a waste of time trying to defend them anyway. The best armor to build for this mission is the mammoth tank. A dozen of these should be plenty to squash the enemy forces and northeastern base. After you have done this, you will need to mop up the remaining forces on the first island. A transport full of mammoths should do nicely, but air strikes are always fun too. The mission is complete when everything is gone.
Situation Critical
Broken in Arms This on is not so easy! Send you spy north to listen in on the Molotov brothers. When they go inside the building, you must follow. Watch out for dogs. At this point, you may want to slow down the game speed; it is VERY important that this is done with precision: When your spy is detected, he will emerge from the building. Immediately send him south to the base entrance; the dogs will follow. Send him directly south of the base wall, next to the water, just above the camo pill box. When the dogs get close, one of the enemy soldiers will accidentally shoot the barrels and kill the dogs. Immediately after the explosion begins, send the spy directly to your drop point. A second set of dogs will be close on your tail. If you do everything right, you should be able to make it back in time to trigger reinforcements. Your reinforcements will be under fire when they arrive. Move all of your units west, out of reach of the V2, then send the tanks to destroy it. Do NOT deploy your base where you landed. Instead, move all of your units west and set up camp near the southern ore field. You will need to build quickly, as you will soon be under constant attack. You will need to put up lots of SAM sites, a couple of tesla coils, and plenty of extra power. You will also need about three ore trucks and lots of tanks (regular and tesla). When you defenses are under way, build a sub pen and quickly crank out about six subs. You will be attacked from the northwest by destroyers, and from the southeast by a cruiser. The enemy will desperately try to kill your sub pen and your war factory from the air (like I said before--lots of SAMS!). Also watch out for chrono tanks appearing in the south. By the time you have built up a reasonable force, your nearby ore patch will be depleted and your trucks will head for the field northeast of your base. You will need to send some armor to defend the trucks, which will be aggresively attacked. Make sure you have plenty of forces, then attack the enemy ore truck. They will send everything they've got to retaliate, so be prepared. If you've survived the onslaught, it's all down hill from there. Send some V2's to pick off the enemy's defensive structures, then roll in the rest of your armor. You should be able to finish off the base with little resistance.
Deus Ex Machina Deploy your base near where you land. There are ore fields to the east and north. Quickly build your war factory, then radar dome and tech center, so you can start building mammoth tanks. Send your mammoths, backed by some tesla tanks, to the choke point at the northeast of your isthmus. Build a sub pen and crank out about a half-dozen subs. Send them east to take out the destroyers and scout the shoreline. Then, send them west past your base and north to the next bay. There will be some more destroyers to kill. While you are doing this, build about four missle subs. You will also need some airstrips and migs. Move your subs east, then north into the small bay. Take out the remaining destroyers. Move your missle subs into the northern waterway, taking out the AA guns and power plants on the northwest island. After this, you should be able to scout with your spy plane to find the radar dome. Continue moving east until you have scouted all the shorelines and taken out everything within reach. On the north central island is the second radar dome. There are also huts containing money crates, which can easily be picked up by some paratroopers. The base in the northeast can be softened up with your missle subs. By now, you should have at least a dozen mammoth tanks. You can use them to take the northeast radar dome, or use Migs. Send the mammoths south along the coast, following the shoreline around to the small enemy base. Take out the defenses and the last radar dome, but leave the war factory. A couple of scientists will arrive next to your base. Send them by transport to the war factory, which should have green flares all over it. Send in a scientist to free Volkov. This must be done before the time runs out, otherwise Volkov will go crazy and start attacking you (and believe me, he is HARD to kill). Bring in the Chinook from your base and pick up Volkov. Sorry, this is everything!
