Like the rest of the Mr. Men, Mr. Nosey is named after his defining personality trait.

His huge nose means he can investigate the activities of his neigbours in Tiddletown, much to their annoyance. So in order to stop him being so nosey, the residents target his over-sized snitch with red paint, a clothes peg, and a hammer.

Luckily he learns his lesson before Mr. Herd the farmer gets to him with his saw!
