MOKE INFORMATION
Moke take elements of Hip-hop, rock, blues, folk and soul and use them to craft their own unique, progressive sound: Their music does contain 'retro' elements, but their approach to playing and writing leaves all other 'British pop' bands for dead. (Check out the B-side to Wheel in motion 'Fluicide', mixed on an 8-track portastudio, and have your mind boggled). I have had the pleasure of mixing A LOT of live shows for this band now and I have had the hair standing up on the back of my neck every night. It is my opinion that they are potentially the greatest band since Led Zeppelin, if you think that sounds over the top, I suggest strongly that you come down and see for yourself. |
