Phoenix

Life was fine, my options clear,
Until one day I chanced to peer,
At  inner dreams,
and now it seems
I have no choice,
but to raise my voice;
to shout out loud; and fly,
into the cloud, that is my future;
A misty and uncertain venture,
A last chance throw of dice,
My heart as cold as ice
I plunge on in, in search of what,
I scarcely know; a female phoenix?
A woman yet? Is there yet time, to rise anew
To vanquish male, to show the world
a girl, in truth!
