This page is the original home of the campaign. A newer version is now being maintained by David Boyd:
Many fans do not even know that there IS a spin-off series to the "Babylon 5" show. Even fewer know of the problems it currently faces: Cancellation.
I won't go into the details here, but before the show has even been aired, "The Babylon Project: Crusade" has been cancelled by TNT after filming of only 13 episodes of the 22 planned for the first season.
For more details please check out the various news sites listed at the bottom of this page.
There are a number of things fans can do to help. Some need to be done at specific times though. The show aires on June 9th, and the Actor's contracts expire roughly 6 weeks later. That gives us a window of opportunity to take action - albeit a short one.
Here is an example 'form' letter. If you do not have the time to write your own letter, then simply print this, sign it and post it away. Although having a thousand letters all turn up the same will not be ideal it's better than not having them :)
The address to write to at TNT is:
Here is an example of another 'form' letter - this time more appropriate to the Sci-Fi channel. Again, if you do not have the time to write your own letter, then simply print this, sign it and post it away.
The address to write to at Sci-Fi Channel is:
Just remember to hold those letters until after the premier on June 9th - there is no point in writing before you've seen the show!
Alternatively, you can e-mail: programming@scifi.com or, even better - do both!
The purpose of this page is to simply act as a catalyst for joining all of the various 'Save Crusade' web-sites together into a more united, and so stronger force.
All of the 'Save Crusade' web-site authors I could find have been contacted, and we are now co-ordinating a joint plan whereby we work together towards this common goal. Each site will specialise in their own part of the campaign - but all working together under a single identity easily recognisable to any and all fans. Currently, that identity is still being arranged, but this site and the banner at the top are simply the catalyst to push the project along.
The guys at ISN News have now taken over the running of this site here (Thanks Guys!). This page will be turned into a re-direct in the near future, so if you have linked to this site, please be ready to change it in the next week (or so) to the new location: http://www.savecrusade.com/. That is being set-up (as I type) to link to the main page.
At the bottom of this page is a (growing) list of all of the dedicated sites trying to 'Save Crusade'.
Below is our banner for fans to download to indicate their public support of the Crusade series and of the 'Save Crusade Campaign'.
The banner is made of two parts. The top is a 'Link Exchange' sized banner (468 x 60) and the bottowm is a 'tag line' which you can add if you wish to. You can download these by clicking on them and add them to your own web-sites to show your united support for Crusade.
Please also add a link to the savecrusade.com web-site on the banner to direct fans to the joint campaign.
For more information on the banners, please see here.
Members of the Campaign are planning to attend a number of conventions before the show aires. For these we are trying to create a number of Posters and Flyers. Tim and Heather Fleming have some ideas for Flyers already.
Here is a GIF version of a flyer I have been working on too. It's about 80K - so the resolution is far from ideal. This is a vector-file flyer, so the |GIF doesn't do it justice. I'm planning to put a Postscript version on here once the final details (an address to post back to - for example ) are ready.
Finally, a big thank-you to all of the other dedicated people out there trying to rescue this show. I'll link to as many sites as I can find specifically dedicated to this cause here:
If you have a site dedicated to making this show work, please e-mail me and I'll try to add it to this list.
Thank-you for taking the time to read this.
