Computer crashes

If so, select 'Restart' on windows menu after clicking on-screen 'Start' button. Then press 'return' upon seeing any following questions. If game crashes press Alt+F4, then reload game if possible. If not, restart PC as said above an try again. If playing via a GameStation, pressing reset will do, as it will also for computers, including the AppleMac, but only as a last resort, as key data may be lost.

Game no start

If game doesn’t start, check if CD is in ‘lower’ CD drive draw, by pressing its nearby open/close button, to eject its CD draw. If  ‘game CD’ not there, then get CD from inside its CD case. Put it in CD draw alone an press button its close draw button. Wait till its CD light stops flickering before accessing. If a game intro screen appears, ignore it by pressing its 'cancel' button. Then redo game start process as normal.

Sound

If playing through a Hi-Fi system, switch Hi-Fi on by pressing its 'on' button, so a small light or two comes on. Then turn a control dial onto or press a button marked to 'Aux'. Adjust volume till happy. To connect PC with Hi-Fi, use a stereo audio cable, an join via PCs sound card audio-out sockets, an the Hi-Fi's [chinch] audio in sockets.

Loading game

If sound heard but no picture, double click on gray ‘game’ box at foot of windows screen till you see game. During game loading process, pressing ‘Esc’ bypasses opening story sections. At 1^st menu, new game means start brand new game from beginning. Keys F6 load, an F5  saves game, which are placed from the nearest top down of list. I suggest Backuping all saved games each Monday.

Game freezes

If game or machine completely freeze, or you cant get it back from via 'windows' desktop, press a small white button on PC's front marked 'reset' to reboot PC, then press return at all subsequent questions till back to windows, an reload game.

Blurry Picture

If graphics appear poorly, exit an reload game. If that doesn’t help click on the ‘Setup’ word under ‘Play’ as when you would go to run the game from the Windows 'start' menu. At setup screen make sure both white oblongs have ’…16 bit…’ inside them, by selecting them from the option list they contain, eg click an select any ..16 bit… option within.

Keyboard problem

If some of the usual keyboard controls don’t work as normal, then they’ve been mistakenly reset or reconfigured otherwise by someone else. To rectify this, in game, access ‘options’, via ‘P’ for pause, an under ‘control configuration’, re-apply the keys to their usual commands you're happiest with. The return key selects confirms what you've selected as commands.

Switching PC fully on/off

To switch PC on press the largest button that appears on the front panel of the main box, beside the monitor, eg- usually a circular gray button on a tower-box. Also switch-on the monitor via a button beneath its screen frame. When switching off, select 'shutdown' from within the 'start' button menu, when in Windows. This closedowns the PC, but you also need to switch the monitor off separately, as with its button next to its green light.
