CENSORED
In accordance with Core Designs 'all-age' policy, for one of my two TR websites, certain imagery has been censored from display, by having such files existent at an external off-site location. The result of this makes their picture locations become denoted by a small white square with a red ['x'] within them. Also, thumbnails of such imagery will not open-up to show their associated pictures. The un-cut version of my site does not omit these several images, that are anyway only shown for reasons of comparative discussion. Thank you.
This page is mainly here to document the process by which censorship plays a key role the life of a webmaster, in their efforts to make their website comply with external rules of compliance. The full account below delineates, this process. Each of its paragraphs form a step along the historical path leading to this page. Therein, it explains the reasons why this site existed at various other locations, before settling at this current one, as if like it had found an Orwellian sanctuary.
Ok, now on with the story...
2002: A Webspace Travesty
The first incident I encountered about this affair, was ironically when this site was first hosted buy Eidosnet, whom I chose to host this site, as I thought it highly appropriate, considering their parent company own the property this website is themed upon. But a few months after launching this site, they deleted its webspace, due to its ONE nude raider link, I presume. I say presume as no warning or reason, was emailed to me about any problem they had with their webspace they gave me. How well mannered an fair-minded of them, to ignore a member of theirs! An when all they needed was ask me about their point of contention, an I would have complied easily, an censored any truth for them, as a sign of good faith in their puritan policy.
So due to their arrogant attitude, I moved this site onto a better webhost, thus becoming - http://croft-central.port5.com. Even so, after mentioning my relocated site on the 'trchronicles.com' forum, a week later I was banned from it, while my new web-host converted my ONE nude raider link page into being a blank page! Huh, an they never even had the courtesy or integrity to mention this matter to me! Anyway, I soon fixed that back to the way it was designed to be, ho-ho. But can it be possible, that the reason for their discord was that I had just ONE link to someone's nude raider site, of which that sites content, I wasn't even responsible for? And though no nudity was present on my site, or contained any erotic dialog - Just a mere link to another's site, so that its webmaster could represent the 'nude raider' scene from 'their' perspective, an not mine?
For the record: My only reason, for including 1 link on my site, to such a dubious website elsewhere, was not to support or promote 'nude raider' content, but to acknowledge its existance in the real world.
Then some new controversy occurred after I submitted this site to the 'TRCOMM.NET' website listing. At this point I think it best to let the email exchange below tell the stupefying story...

The aspects you have mentioned (killing, and such animated violence and animated blood effects) are official policy of producer companies and were already rated by ESRB. But nude raider contents are not rated by ESRB and accepted officially by either Eidos or Core Design. Also you know that the players of TR all over the world are little children as well. It would be not ethical to show them these mess and unsuitable content... And one thing more: We would be VERY APPRECIATED IF YOU CHANGED YOUR BANNER IMAGE. Actually you MUST do that in order to remain as the member of TRComm. > > Regards, > Shehi

Greetings, but the ERSB have nothing to do with ethical or moral principle since the games they approve break criminal law and 2 of the ten commandments as written no less than in the Bible! Regarding little children, nudity cannot offend them as they no not what it is, until society brainwashes them into over-reacting towards it. Furthermore they were born nude and their parents partly or fully were when they were conceived. Therefore if nudity is so offensive then why are people born nude, Oh I forgot its natural, whoops! In addition, you cant censor the truth of the human anatomy from little children forever, since its their birth-right to learn about life. It is not in their interests to obscure the truth about the human form. Ps- I've changed my already censored banner into reflecting the game industry's' hypocrisy. > > Enjoy

Will as well... :)
closing topic...
Originally that banner said "No Nude Raider, But Theft & Murder Present", as that's just what you'll get when you play game an are honest about it. [not that I mind as I'm no hypocrite]. Since that time I've remodeled that banner as to that illustrated just below.

An to now, some ironic matters, for below is an email from an anonymous person, who enquired about the 'nuderaid' page that no longer appeared here any more. [sob-sob]

Excuse me, I have a question. Where did the link "Nude Raider" go? It's not that I care, just wondering. Please answer. Thank you.<<<<<<<<<<
So I gave him the bad news, that his access has been denied to him a person he's never met. Obviously he must be interested in this content as why else would he care to ask about it, an then say the opposite to deflect attention away from this. Anyway, I appreciated his inquiry, as it least it shows people notice when information has been concealed from them. By contrast, some website owners like this site, an so here's a nice email to me from the webmistress of tomb2000.com:

...I've perused your site and it looks like a
super resource. The verification should be on it's way to you very soon, if
it's not there already. Hopefully your listing will appear soon,
providing some of your visitors have voted through the LCPP graphic. Good luck
with your site and happy raiding! - AngelJ
Then, just when you thought it safe to enter the web, the monster that is TRComm.net returned...
