It's all very well downloading music so that you don't have to pay for it; but how does the artist afford to record it in the first place, eh? Ever thought about that?

In our case, we saved up all the money we earned from you lot coming to see us play. So from one point of view, it's only right that you get to download our music for free.

From another point of view - namely, like, the correct one - we spend loads of money on practising in the first place so that we're actually any good when you do come to see us play.

But here are some mp3s anyway, because we like your hair.

This was our first single, released on Bearos Records in July 2000.

At the time we elected to characterise it as 'an anthem for the workshy and a raucous hymn to public transport'.

Tasty fanzine, somewhat more forthrightly, declared it to be 'fucking amazing'.

See what you think.

I'd like to download it please Sod it - I'll buy the record

Our second single This is the sound is released, also by Bearos Records, in August 2001; and this song appears on the b-side.

A wistful roadsong, it features some especially lovely guitar playing from Paul and a nice organ part by Pete.

Give it a listen, and if you like it then hey, why not buy the single when that comes out. The a-side's pretty smart too, you know.

.I'd like to download it please
