So
near...and yet... With less than a week to go before work was due to begin on The Regulars' debut single Lie down and fight, the recording has incurred yet another agonising delay. Producer Paul Glave has been forced to put the project on ice following an accident last Wednesday, and is currently laid up in hospital with a broken leg. And trouble behind the scenes at Paul's Gatehouse studios has added further complications. Given Paul's intention - restated from his hospital bed - to tour the UK with Broadcast next month, it is unclear where, when and with whom the recording will now go ahead. The picture should, however, become clearer when Paul is released from hospital later this week. On a brighter note, The Regulars and Dr Alan are both hard at work arranging gigs for the March-May period, and new dates should be finalised within the next few days. In the meantime - regardless of all this recording malarky - the Regs would like to wish Paul a comfortable convalescence and rapid recovery. |
