Speech of figures
12 Sep 2000

The first sales figures for The Regulars' debut single have been returned from distributor Cargo - and the band are quite chuffed with the way things are ticking along.

As of last week 97 copies of Lie down and fight had been sold in shops nationally. With the 70 or so sold by Bearos Records at gigs and by mail order, the 40 units shifted by the band personally, and the 40-odd snapped up at Birmingham's Tempest outlet, this makes about 250 sales in total.

If you are one of these 250 people, The Regulars thank you and salute you, and playfully tousle your hair, and wish you every future happiness.

If you haven't got a copy yet, best get your skates on and snap up one of the 150 that remain. Our buyer's guide will help you find one.

Lie down and fight was released in July of this year after a period of clatting and faffing about quite unparalleled in the history of popular music.
