roads roam to Leeds The Regulars are to head north this weekend for an appearance at what looks set to be one of the top indiepop/lo-fi events in the UK this year. Self-styled 'London of the North' and city of random aggression Leeds is to host Saturday's GoJonnyGoGoGoGo all-dayer, featuring such respected acts as Bearsuit (tbc), Airport Girl, Comet Gain (tbc), The Chemistry Experiment and M J Hibbett, with the Regs set to pop up in the afternoon with a 35-minute set. The line-up is completed by The Static Waves, Muna, Plouf!, The Motherfuckers, Milky Wimpshake, D Millard, and a solo acoustic set from Gordon Ballboy. The event - to take place at Leeds' Joseph's Well - picks up where Sheffield's annual Pop-A-Go-Go all-dayer left off with its finale last year. Doors open at noon, with the first band on stage at 1:30; and Pete is already planning another breakfast bribe for the other Regulars to ensure their early rising on the day. Those aiming to catch the Regs' set are advised to arrive for 3pm. More details can be found on the gigs page of this site. |
